Position Title: Executive Officer Business Development

Location: Rockhampton

Employment StatusFull Time Contract Remuneration $100K + Executive Package

 

Reporting to CEO
Purpose of the Position
  • Develop new and additional government, philanthropic, community and corporate funding streams for CQID programs through the establishment of strategy, plans and processes that promote CQID and its community impact.
  • Lead and continually improve CQID reporting activity to optimise consistency and efficiency and to demonstrate compliance and achievement to funders, stakeholders and the broader community.
  • Research, develop and write funding submissions and proposals.
  • Lead the advancement of CQID’s reputation through development and implementation of marketing, engagement and communication strategy and plans and associated materials and channels.
  • Provide leadership, mentoring and support to CQID team members.
  • Contribute to the continual improvement of CQID by leading and/or contributing to the development and/or review of strategy, planning, policy and procedures.
  • Represent CQID at relevant external meetings and events.
  • Implement relationship development strategies and liaise with service providers and other organisations to ensure quality outcomes and accountability.
  • Collaborate with CQID Executive to ensure the continual development of the organisation and achievement of community outcomes.
  • Work at all times to advance the reputation of CQID and undertake other relevant additional duties as required
Essential Criteria/ Qualifications
  • Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander heritage and/or extensive community and cultural connectedness and endorsement of a recognised local Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander person
  • An awareness and understanding of Indigenous communities and cultures and the historical and contemporary issues relevant to the needs of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander clients, and proven capacity to communicate appropriately
  • Tertiary level qualifications in marketing, business, communications, management or similar or equivalent experience appropriate to the specific role.
  • A demonstrated thorough knowledge of issues, strategies, legislation and requirements related to the specific role.
  • Proficiency in using MS Office and contemporary office equipment and management information systems.
  • Current C Class Drivers Licence, Current Blue card.
  • Ability to travel for CQID business as required.

  1. Exemplary Financial, Human Resource, WH&S, Quality and Staff Management.
  2. Leadership and effectiveness at a senior management level.
  3. Relationship management of a range of government and non-government funding bodies, partners and key stakeholders.
  4. Developing and leading reputation building strategies and initiatives.
  5. Excellent written and oral communication skills and ability to engage with diverse target audiences.
  6. Superior organisation, project management and time management skills and proven ability to meet deadlines.
  7. Proficiency with developing and writing funding-related reports, submissions, tenders.
  8. Development of philanthropic processes and partnerships.
  9. Professional success with initiatives to close the gap between Indigenous and Non Indigenous Australians.
