Position Title: Executive Officer Professional Practice

Location: Bundaberg or Rockhampton or Emerald

Employment Status: Full Time Contract Remuneration: $100K + executive package

Indirectly – Community Development Practitioners and Program Support Officers

Purpose of the Position
  • Lead the integration of QATSCPP standards and principles into CQID programs
  • Lead and support high quality professional practice in the delivery and execution of human service programmes for Indigenous people by providing expert advice, oversight and supervision to CQID staff members with responsibility for program delivery
  • Provide line management, leadership and mentoring to achieve consistent, high quality work performances from managers
  • Lead development, monitoring and continuous improvement of program service models, ensuring high quality assurance
  • Represent CQID in relevant sector organisations and initiatives
  • Lead development and review of systems, reporting, policies and procedures that will enhance CQID’s program delivery and outcomes for clients
  • Lead complex case management and associated liaison with relevant stakeholders
  • Collaborate with CQID Executive to ensure the continual development of the organisation and achievement of community outcomes
  • Work at all times to advance the reputation of CQID and undertake additional relevant duties as required
Essential Criteria/ Qualifications
  • It is a genuine occupational requirement that this position be filled by an Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander person as permitted and arguable under the Anti-Discrimination Act 1991
  • Tertiary level qualifications in Social Work, Mental Health Nursing, Human Services, Occupational Therapy, Psychology, Behavioural Science or other relevant qualification, or significant equivalent experience appropriate to the role
  • An awareness and understanding of Indigenous communities and cultures and the historical and contemporary issues relevant to the needs of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander clients, and proven capacity to communicate appropriately
  • A demonstrated knowledge of QATSCPP standards and principles
  • A demonstrated thorough knowledge of issues, strategies, legislation and requirements related to the role and the advancement of Indigenous people
  • Proficiency in using MS Office and contemporary office equipment and management information systems
  • Current C Class Drivers Licence, Current Blue card, Police Check
  • Ability to travel to deliver on responsibilities
Essential Criteria/Experience The Executive Officer Professional Practice will demonstrate experience in:

  1. The application and leadership of best practice human services case management for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people
  2. Using leadership, organisational, problem solving and written and oral communication skills to achieve excellent team performance and outcomes for clients, funders and employer
  3. Working effectively across multiple programs, service agreements and locations
  4. Leadership of continuous improvement of process and outcomes and achievement of quality assurance, licensing and other regulatory requirements
  5. Collaborating with senior management to achieve positive outcomes
  6. Relationship development and liaison with a range of services and stakeholders
