Provide leadership and accountability to staff, clients, funders and other stakeholders for engaging youth and their families to achieve better outcomes.

Deliverables after 6 months in the role

  1. Service model and framework developed and implemented
  2. On target service delivery
  3. Key stakeholder reference group established and meeting regularly
  4. MOUs in place with therapeutic and cultural partners

 

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement and continuously improve structured, best practice service delivery that systematically engages young people in resolving challenges and improving wellbeing
  • Lead, manage and monitor the performance, development and wellbeing of staff members
  • Provide regular internal and external communication about activities and outcomes and present timely reports
  • Be accountable for achieving key performance indicators, including indicators that support service delivery and CQID strategic and operational plans
  • Develop and manage partnerships, networks and professional relationships that will enhance service capacity and improve the experience and outcomes of clients
  • Monitor the external environment to identify and develop new opportunities for services to community
  • Support and promote the work and continuous improvement of Central Queensland Indigenous Development

Special Requirements

  1. Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait islander heritage
  2. Strong local community connection and knowledge
  3. Blue Card
  4. Driver’s License

 

Qualifications and Experience

  • Tertiary qualifications in human services and/or management
  • Extensive experience at successfully leading and developing Aboriginal and Torres Strait islander staff members
  • Extensive experience at successful service delivery to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander young people
